Most companies, institutions and medical facilities are working to protect employees, patients and visitors. At many facilities, particularly medical facilities, the public is screened prior to entry. This applies to our drivers making pick-ups and deliveries.
In some cases, drivers are reporting to a screening desk and in some cases they are being asked to fill out a form regarding their possible exposure, and/or being asked to have their temperature checked, and/or asked to wear a mask and gloves. In addition, in some cases, the drivers are directed to a special area and cannot access the inside; they must wait in that area for hospital staff to bring them the shipment. In other cases, internal access is restricted to certain areas of the hospital. Each hospital is rapidly setting up their own unique procedures.
