A large pharmaceutical company known for having silos between its global facilities (from both an indication focus and amongst operational departments) needed to transport their API, bulk and direct to site clinical trial drug, and patient sample shipments from various sites to central labs across six continents. Temperature control transport was required to maintain the integrity of the drug and patient samples.
Their facilities operated as separate units, without consistent protocols for quality and cost-efficiencies.
After analyzing practices for each of the client's facilities, QuickSTAT provided an end-to-end logistics solution, which included centralized project management for planning and executing their global clinical trials. Consistent protocols were implemented across all their facilities, providing best practices, route planning and quality standards to ensure product integrity, as well as cost efficiencies.
- QuickSTAT assigned a dedicated Global Account Manager to oversee the client's needs — from planning and implementation to everyday logistics solutions. The Global Account Manager ensured that the worldwide negotiated rates and discounts were applied across every client shipment and that all billing was presented accurately and on time.
- QuickSTAT also provided the client with Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) within each geographical region. Acting as the regional single point of contact for all client requests, the CRMs were supported by the QuickSTAT's Global Regulatory, Quality, and Technical Expertise Teams for each of the client's project.
- QuickSTAT's CRMs in conjunction with the Global Account Manager created customized supply chain solutions for each trial or project, including the transport of temperature sensitive API, high value comparator drug, investigational medicine, and patient samples.
